On Small Starts

You don’t get anywhere unless you start

At all. And all begin, of course, so small.

You don’t get mustard trees without its seed,

You don’t get skyscrapers without a plan,

You don’t get Israel without an Abraham,

An ancient man with ancient barren wife.

Each business seems to start inside a basement,

Each masterpiece begins with just a spark,

Each victory begins from some obscure

Place, where trials and failures pave the way.

Each creature, great and small, began as dust–

Before that, nothing, and nothing cannot rise.

Fear not, nor overthink. Just follow God,

To be the man that you were made to be.
