I’m Back!
Hello! Welcome! It has been a while, like two months perhaps? I am back to write about the journey of my writing. I sometimes know what I’m going to write about, but not always. I just write, and something comes out.
I tried taking a break from blogging about creative writing/art to see whether it would help me focus on writing more. It did not, but it did help me think about this blog in a little clearer light. I started it first in December 2017 to promote the book I published with my friend. However, this blog has rather turned, perhaps, into a story of its own as I graduated from college, interned for a good portion of the following year, and then got a job which is now a remote one. Besides showing a bit of the progression of my life and stories, it is meant to encourage other writers and artists in their pursuits. Whatever joy or thought strikes me about writing or about life, I’ll share its light with you. Hence, Light of Delight.
Anyhow, I intended to finish writing the first draft of “the second book” by November 1, a year after I started it. I ashamedly admit I have not finished it, but I have reached the middle of Chapter 14 out of 17, so we are closer to the finish line.
There are things in life that can get in the way of writing, that turn your heart away from the path you ought to go. There are temptations in writing itself that can stiffen your creativity and suffocate the joy out of it. There are also life events that just pull you away from writing for a time. I have certainly experienced all of these at some level in the past couple months, but I am more or less free from distraction now. I have no clue what path God wants to take me in writing, but He is trustworthy to care for my life. He is my life, after all.
