Portal to Japan, or, The Pursuit of Lunch
“Uhhh…Andrew?!” “Wait, this isn’t Tokyo!” “Where are we?”
Twelve writers who are discontent with work build a secret portal to go to Tokyo for lunch, but end up having a world-changing adventure. Through a series of ancient, secret puzzles, they summon the rightful king to the earth and thus defeat the evil rulers that are after them.
This is a work in progress.

Portal to Japan, or, The Pursuit of Lunch is a work-in-progress, standalone novel. Like my other stories, the plot is set in the real world, but fantastic elements are at work behind the scenes, discovered by the protagonists.
Fantasy is the symbolic manifestation of spiritual realities, and this story aims to wrestle with and reflect that reality in an otherwise lighthearted mood.
The twelve coworkers in this book have a choice to make about their destiny. Will they choose to obey the voice of the king through his messengers, or will they continue to pretend that all the supernatural things they see are not real?
